We offer a wide, mixed variety of locally grown, changing flowers as the seasons progress. These may very well include Sunflowers, Zinnias, Cosmos, Dahlias, Scabiosa, Basil, Dill, Nicotiana, Lace Flowers, Atriplex, Yarrow, Feverfew, Snapdragons, Celosia, Grasses Amaranth, and much more.
What an excellent question! Here are a few tips for the longest vase life from your blooms.
- Read the instructions on your flower food packet and USE IT! It will increase vase life by 60%. If possible, add a few small drops of bleach to the water. Some flowers are considered “dirty” and the chlorine helps prevent these flowers from polluting the water.
- Place your bouquet away from fruit. The ethylene fruit releases will cause the flowers and foliage to yellow, wilt, and fall to the table.
- After about 3-4 days change the water. Give your vessel a quick rinse, clip the bottom 1-2" off the stems, refill with cold water and place your flowers back in, making sure the stems are clean from leaves and such.
- Flowers have different lengths of life in the vase so as some begin to fade, simply clip them out and continue enjoying the remaining blooms!
Wonderful attention to detail. Because they are FRESH! Our flowers have been cut within a day or two of being formed into a bouquet and so they have not had their stems closed off or clogged with time and travel as store-bought flowers have. Such a gift!
Yes, it very well may be and I apologize. But then again, I don't because that means your flowers are not sprayed with toxic chemicals and then carried into your home! They are safe to be in your house, around your family, and any critters you may have. So you are welcome for that little insect! Save it or smash away!
Fair question and no, the bouquet will be different in some way or another. The photos pictured below are taken throughout the growing season, and different flowers bloom at different times. That is the beauty of local flowers! They change with the weather. Flowers available in Spring are not blooming in late Summer because heat requirements are different. All bouquets are Designer's choice.
We are glad you asked! Sign up below and a bouquet will be delivered to your home or office on the same day each time. Flowers will be delivered in a vase and then the following week fresh flowers will arrive in a new vase ready to be swapped out for the old. You many choose from delivery in any amount- weekly, 2x a month, X amount of times in the season, weekly for a certain month... etc. The season runs roughly June - mid-October
